Yes. Two we can name publicly are live there: Nova Poshta Connect, which is ours, and Mo: Story Slider Navigation, built for a partner agency. Most of what we build is custom apps for one merchant, which never appear in the store by design.

A public app is listed on the App Store and any merchant can install it. A custom app exists for one store and does exactly what that business needs. If the workflow is specific to you, custom is usually cheaper and faster than bending a public app to fit.

That is most of what we build. For a UK gifting brand we shipped a configurator as a custom app, plus a production engine that turns each order into print-ready files and routes them to the queue. Work that used to be manual now happens on order.

A single-purpose custom app is measured in weeks. Something with production logic, external systems or App Store review behind it runs longer. The gifting brand's three-system build took four to six months. We scope before quoting so you are not guessing.

You do, for anything we build for you. Custom apps and custom code are yours, including the repository. A public app is a different question and worth settling in the contract before it is built rather than after it has users.

Shopify deprecates API versions on a schedule, so an app left alone will eventually break. We keep the apps we build working through those changes. That is maintenance of our own code, and we would not claim to maintain an app we have never seen.

Yes, using Shopify Functions and checkout extensions rather than workarounds. Checkout specifically needs Shopify Plus. Discount and delivery logic have more room on standard plans, and we will tell you which of your rules are possible before you commit.

Sometimes, and we audit it before saying yes. Taking on a codebase without knowing what is in it is how you inherit someone else's problem. If it is maintainable we will say so. If rebuilding costs less than untangling it, we will say that instead.
