When We Can Help

The platform costs more than it returns.

  1. /01

    Every change needs a developer

When a banner change needs a ticket, the platform is slowing the business down. On Shopify your team edits content, products and promotions themselves.

  2. /02

Your platform is end of life

Magento 1, an unsupported plugin stack or a custom platform nobody maintains any more. We move products, customers, orders and URLs before it becomes a security problem.

  3. /03

Hosting costs more than the store earns

Servers, patches and extensions add up. Shopify replaces most of that with one predictable subscription, and we plan the move so you don't pay for both for long.

Client Stories

What it’s like
to work with us.

Great attention to detail and a professional approach. I can recommend them both for store migration and for theme customization on Shopify.

How We Migrate

From audit to a store that holds its traffic.

  1. Audit & Inventory

We catalogue every URL, product, customer and integration on the old platform, because what gets missed is what gets lost.

  2. Plan & Map

We map old URLs to new, decide what moves and what gets rebuilt, and agree the cutover before touching anything.

  3. Migrate & Verify

We move the data and check it against the source, then run the store on a staging build until it behaves.

  4. Launch & Watch

We import redirects, submit sitemaps and monitor Search Console for weeks after, not days.

FAQ

Questions
we get asked

How long does a Shopify migration take?

It depends on the catalogue, the integrations and how much of the old platform was custom. A straightforward catalogue move runs in weeks. The UK gifting brand's move off a platform built in-house, covering 1M+ customer profiles and thirteen years of history, took four to six months. For Magento stores, our Magento to Shopify migration guide walks through the steps.

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Not if the redirects are done properly, and that is the part nobody quotes for. Every old URL needs to point at its new equivalent in one hop, canonicals and hreflang need to be right on arrival, and Search Console needs watching for weeks afterwards rather than days.

What happens to our order history and customer accounts?

They come with you. Products, customers, order history and the relationships between them are moved and then checked against the source rather than assumed. We moved 1M+ profiles and thirteen years of history for a UK gifting brand. The checking is the slow part and it is not optional.

Can you migrate from a custom-built platform?

Yes, and that is the harder case. Off-the-shelf platforms export predictably; in-house ones have logic nobody documented and fields nobody remembers. We work out what the old system actually does before moving anything, including the parts that only exist in someone's head. We describe how that works in our guide to moving from a custom platform to Shopify.

Do we need Shopify Plus to migrate?

Not to migrate. Plus matters afterwards, if you need to customise the checkout steps, more than three B2B catalogs or higher API limits. We will tell you which of your requirements need it rather than putting you on Plus by default.

What about our current integrations?

They get rebuilt, not carried over. Your ERP, CRM, fulfilment and courier connections were written against the old platform's API and none of them transfer. We inventory every one at the audit stage, because an integration discovered late is what turns a migration into an overrun.

Can the store stay live during the migration?

Yes. The new store is built and tested on a password-protected Shopify instance while your current one keeps selling. The cutover is a planned switch with the redirects already prepared, not a period where nothing works.

What happens after we launch on Shopify?

We watch it. Redirects get verified against live responses, sitemaps get submitted, and Search Console gets checked for weeks rather than days. Migrations rarely fail on launch day. They fail three weeks later, when nobody is looking at the coverage report.

Outgrown the platform you started on?

Tell us what you're on now and we'll tell you what moving actually involves.
